OUTNUMBERED
The new rancher in Keyes Ridge valley is eager to make life easier for the horses. “Use compassion when you train a horse,” Maggie declares. “No way,” the ranchers reply. “We use force-fight methods. For decades. It works. Leave us alone.” Maggie doesn’t. She figures if one rancher acknowledges her compassionate training ideas, the others will follow. Resentment against her efforts intensifies. The ranchers’ hostility erupts. She’s threatened and told to get out or else! Maggie stays and, undaunted, launches a new, exceptionally unique program. She’s determined to change the ranchers’ minds. Even if it means jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!
In OUTNUMBERED, we’re in the saddle for a thrilling, singular ride with believable, memorable characters, endearing animals, and an impressive, masterly developed plot of scheming intrigue unraveling at a galloping pace to finish with a stunning, dramatic conclusion!

“Outnumbered” is a wonderful book, a heartwarming story about what a horse is all about, with specific training guidelines and the story of one horse in particular, named Intrepid. Horse knowledge in itself makes this volume valuable–I learned more than I ever knew I didn’t know! I also liked the down-to-earth characters, real-life situations, and just how real and genuine it felt. If you like horses, don’t miss this one.

I am a horse lover and really enjoyed this book. It was very captivating and engaging. I really liked Norma’s new “compassion” method for training horses. It is is completely different than the
old way of thinking. A very good read.
